Why work with a Therapist?

Evidence Based Practice.

Psychotherapy or Counselling Therapy is primarily a talk-based therapy and is meant to help people improve and maintain their mental health and well-being. Therapists will also use evidence-based practice, where decisions about mental health care and treatment are based on the best available, current, valid, and relevant research while also considering the needs and preferences of the client as well as the clinical expertise of the therapist. Individuals might seek out psychotherapy or counselling when they have thoughts, feelings, moods, and behaviours that are negatively affecting their quality of life, relationships, and their ability to function.

Our therapists are either Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC) or Registered Social Workers (RSW) who support various areas in mental health. They work with individuals struggling with various mental health issues/concerns, but also provide couples counseling and family counseling support services.
